Google products work. Sometimes.
I’ve learned to shrug off most of the hiccups I encounter with Gmail. Like this morning, when it ignored some (but not all) of my filter settings. I’m still incrementally migrating away from it mainly because it is getting slowly but surely more intrusive and less reliable. I use it mainly for spam filtering, but not for anything really important.
This morning, I got an email from a government newsletter subscription that I follow mainly because I want to keep track of current propaganda. It is called Government Technology, from newsletters@govtech.com
I archive this newsletter so that I can go back through them to see how the various stories panned out. I also actively look for biased reporting, which is usually remarkably well-disguised.
This morning’s issue was flagged by Gmail as a potential “phish,” which I thought was incredibly ironic. Here is the rest of the message pictured in the image above:
