About 30 years ago, give or take, I made the conscious career-limiting decision to avoid becoming a manager. It’s not because I dislike management. I’ve had good, bad, and indifferent managers, and I do have some definite opinions about what constitutes a good one. I just don’t want to be one myself, mainly because I don’t think I would be very good at it.

Google has announced a new product called “Keep” which does some of the things Evernote does. Guess what? I don’t care, and I will not be using “Keep.” Even though I haven’t tried it, I have already spotted some key differences between “Keep” and Evernote.

I got yet another unpleasant surprise from Google yesterday when I went to access my Google Reader. There was a dialog with a message that told me that Google reader was going away next July 1st. The only available responses were the blue OK button and the little X in the upper right corner to close.

Why I Turned Down an Offer
